PURPOSE:

This film is intended to galvanize millions of men - husbands, fathers and sons worldwide to actively oppose abuse of women with a new resolution and unity.

SUMMARY:

In Documentary films, real people discuss actual events. The validity and intensity of the subject material, not the charisma and glamour of actors, propels them. Burdens of Beauty is a feature-length documentary with a twist. The title is a metaphor for the "burdens" of all women. It’s about injustice, betrayal and abuse.

 Aimed at a global audience, this film will explore the ills men do to women. Ironically, it will target the male movie audience (the twist). "Burdens" is not about why some women accept, tolerate or deny abuse. Rather, it’s about true stories of mankind’s violation of woman kind told by women who have suffered degradation, physical intimidation and/or more heinous abuse. Burdens of Beauty explores this perpetual plight of womankind in order to galvanize millions of men to actively oppose abuse with a new resolution and unity.

 "Burdens" exposes the anguish of female human beings objectified, controlled, possessed, raped and dehumanized by callous males. Each man who sees Burdens of Beauty will experience a silent trial of his own conscience. Each will feel his own culpability in whatever measure warranted. And every man who endures "BoB" (Burden’s nickname), will leave giving a damn!

 After twenty years of interviewing women, one astounding fact compels me to make this picture. Half of the almost forty women I've interviewed, were raped. Many men I've reported this to say… "that's ridiculous!" ...The women I've told just nod. They know! Burdens of Beauty is a movie with a mission.
